Bridal show recap!

Our semi-annual bridal show was held Wednesday February 4, 2009 at the Halls of St. George in Schererville. The show included tons of vendors, free food, giveaways, and ended the night with a fun fashion show. There was even more excitement for our grand prizewinners of 8 free tuxedos at the end of the night. When I said giveaways, I really meant FREE giveaways!

As a company, we really enjoy incorporating fun in our daily work and get energized about our job. One of the best things about our occupation is being able to get excited about your wedding. Watching as you pick out your perfect wedding invitation or select your tuxedos, is a very fun and interactive experience at Dunhill. Our tuxedo pick-up on Thursday night usually ends up in some pretty funny banter with our grooms. Our bridal shows really let us take part in that fun and allow us to one of our favorite things…getting to know you, the bride and groom.

Megan Norton and Randy Hall of Merrillville, Indiana

They are currently planning their June 13th, 2009 wedding and having their ceremony and reception at the Halls of St. George. This was the first bridal show they have ever attended and said they had a great time. Megan was able to make some great contacts with a makeup artist and came to look at cake vendors. They loved the freebies and having lots of room to move through the vendors. Megan’s advice to brides was “don’t settle on something, look until you find what makes you happy, that way you won’t have any regrets.” She also advised to go to the bridal shows early on in planning. Randy’s advice to brides was “to be happy and not to stress”. They also said that their family is going to be so happy when they find out about the tuxedos!

We were very happy to share our giveaway with such a nice couple. All of our runners up recieved free groom’s shoes and socks for their whole wedding party!

Lindsey Serna

Lindsey is planning her wedding for August 1, 2009 and found out about our bridal show through a mailing we had sent. She has two big parts of her planning left: the cake and the flowers. Through our bridal show, she was able to make an appointment with a florist! Her impression of the show was that it was good and had lots of vendors and in such a large venue. She commented on how there was lots of variety within the vendors and she had a great time. Her tips to brides: Get tons of ideas and bring return address labels to the bridal show, that way you don’t have to keep filling out your address when you sign up for things!
