I am a completely visual person.  If you are like me, you know what you want in your head, but it’s hard for you to know what it is until you see it.  It’s a good chance many of you are wired this way, and the answer to solve that problem for your wedding planning is simple. Google it.

If you haven’t already found the magic of Google, prepare yourself because it is going to make your wedding planning even more fantastic.  Google is at your fingertips at work, home or even while waiting in traffic.  Wedding planning is almost constantly on your mind, so put those two time consumers together and go with it.  This is especially fantastic in the beginning stages of wedding planning. Google images is great for getting visual ideas.

Try this one out.  Google the phrase “wedding inspiration boards” and then click the word “images” in the top of the page.  (or click this link to take you directly to google images http://images.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi where you will type “wedding inspiration boards into the search bar)

In your search results you have a bountiful, endless amount of ideas and inspiration for your wedding.  You will find every region, every theme, color and look.  To zero in on your specific wedding ideas, try the colors of your wedding followed by the words, “wedding inspiration boards”.   Center on the one that takes your breath away, and plaster it to that ever-faithful wedding binder.  At the right time, it may cure a moment of bridal block.  Use these boards as inspiration to plan your wedding all around.  Try not to fall in love with exactly each and every piece or you may find yourself having a bridezilla moment.  Some of the exact items may not be easy to locate or make your fiancée’s eyes bug out of his head when he finds the price tag.  Customize the items to you and make your wedding evolve around them.

Another visual problem you can run into….

You fell in love with a cake, settled on the types of flowers, favors and reception décor. Yet you find yourself asking the question, is this going to create the look I want once it’s all together?  Using a little engine called the mosaic maker can give you a little preview of your celebration of a lifetime as you make your own wedding inspiration board.  Gather a bunch of ideas from the web (consult google images if you need some help) and save the links or files.

Then go to http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/mosaic.php and follow the easy to use forum and make your own wedding mosaic.

Make a board of all the flowers you have in mind for the bouquets and give it to the florist.  Do the same and use different elements of cakes for the bakery.  If you go the wedding planner route, create a mosaic for them of a general look of your reception.  This is a fun and creative way to make your wedding planning go more smoothly.
