The list that keeps on going….how to know who should make the guest list-Dunhill Tuxedos Bridal Blog

Well they invited me to their wedding…If I invite this person, then I have to invite that person….my parents just gave me 40 more names…

Those can be the concerns wheeling around your mind when it comes time to compose the list for the big day.  You don’t want to offend anyone, but your hall and/or budget may only have room for oh so many.  Meet with your fiancée and both sets of parents and create a formula of who you are going to invite.

One formula that you can use as a guide:

decide to invite blog

Additional tips and suggestions:

If you are only counting adults in on your guest lists and the intention is for them not to bring their children, the most courteous way to ask is to mention Adult Reception on your reception card in your invitation.

If your parents are helping you out with the wedding and if you have room, a courteous suggestion may be to leave five open invitations for them on both sides to give out to who they would like to settle any fiery that might arise in the who’s making the list discussion.

Create a spreadsheet on Microsoft Excel  as you can create column of names, addresses, phone numbers(in case you have to call for last minute responders) number invited per residence, number of invitations, wedding r.s.v.p shower r.s.v.p, shower gifts and wedding gifts (for thank you notes).

Good Luck and remember planning your wedding should be fun!

Until next time….Happy wedding planning!
